Sorry to break the news, but...
HAVING A STORY AND TELLING A STORY ARE TWO DIFFERENT SKILLS.
You have the experience. You have the expertise. You’ve probably even got the stories, sitting there in your notes, waiting to go into the book.
The problem is, most nonfiction writers only have the first one.
You write, “I was overwhelmed that year.” True. Also forgettable. A reader skims past it because she’s heard that sentence a hundred times, from a hundred other authors, in a hundred other books about the same topic you’re writing about.
That’s the real cost of not knowing how to tell a story: your reader can’t tell you apart from anyone else writing in your space. You become one of many. Not the ONE.
The good news is that storytelling isn’t a personality trait. It’s three specific, learnable moves. Once you see them, you can’t unsee where your own pages are missing them, and you can’t wait to go fix it.
DON'T WASTE ANOTHER WEEK WRITING A SNOOZEFEST
This is the difference between a page someone skims and a page someone reads twice.
01
SPILL THE TEA
"I was nervous" is a statement. "My hands were shaking so hard the paper wrinkled" is a story. Most writers stay general because specific feels too small, too personal, too much like oversharing. It's the opposite. Drop us in the moment. The tiny, exact detail is the thing that makes a reader feel it in her own body instead of just reading about it in yours.
02
DROP US IN
There's a difference between telling your reader what happened and putting her inside the moment it happened. Reporting says, "I found out the diagnosis and it was devastating." Reliving puts her in the exam room with you, present tense, before you even know how the sentence ends. One is information. The other is the reason she can't put the book down.
03
SHOW THE POINT OF NO RETURN
Every story that matters has a moment where something shifts — a belief breaks, a choice gets made, a life goes one way instead of another. Without this point, a story is just an event: something happened, the end. With it, a story becomes proof: something happened, and it changed everything, and here's what that means for you, too.
Miss any one of these three, and even your best material reads flat. Get all three working in the same story, and that’s when you hear it back from readers: “Finally, somebody sees me.” “Nobody’s ever explained it like that.” “It’s like she was inside my head.”

Who this is for
This is for you if…
- You have real expertise or a real story, and you're tired of your writing sounding like everyone else's in your space.
- You've noticed your drafts feel "fine" but not gripping, and you don't know why.
- You want to learn storytelling as a skill, not just get pep talks about finding your voice.
- You want the exact upgrades I give to my clients who pay me thousands to get my eyes on their writing and stories (because I can look at a book and spot the tiny things having a very negative effect on your writing).

About Rachel
I’m Rachel.
I’m a 4X published author, and I’ve spent the last 22 years helping people turn the stories they’ve lived into books readers can’t put down.
In that time, I’ve worked with over 900 experts, entrepreneurs, and memoirists. I've written emails, social media posts, sales pages and books for clients who have made a combined $33M+ from my storytelling. I now show writers how to write bingeworthy books.
...so the right people read your pages and think, “Finally, somebody gets me.”
But I don’t just want you to write a book that sounds nice. I want you to see what becomes possible when your stories make a complete stranger feel seen before she ever meets you.
Because THAT is the key that unlocks readers who pre-order, reviewers who rave, and a book that sells you better than you could ever sell yourself.
So you can finally stop being the best-kept secret in your space.
Your story is the door to this...
...and Unputdownable is where I show you how to turn the key.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
- How long does this take?
- Most people get through it in one sitting, an hour or two. It's built to binge, on purpose.
- Is this the same as Storyteller?
- No. Unputdownable teaches you how to tell a story well — the craft itself, at the sentence and scene level. Storyteller is where you build the entire book: the outline, which stories make the cut and which don't, and the full manuscript, with me and my team for 16 weeks. Unputdownable makes your stories land. Storyteller builds the book around them.
- What if I don't have a manuscript yet?
- Doesn't matter. These three ingredients apply to any story you'll ever tell in the book, whether you've written page one or page two hundred. This also helps you write better social media posts, emails and anything else you do to sell your book or your brand. It's designed to make you a better storyteller. Period.
- What if I want more support after this?
- Most people know within a day of finishing whether they're ready for Storyteller. If you are, it's the obvious next step. Email us at hello@rachelkarl.com or DM me @RachelKarl for details.
Seventeen dollars to stop sounding like everyone else in your space.
